Construction Pads
Are you ready to build that great, new building on your property? Well, Texas Farm and Ranch Services wants to help you make it a reality. Since we have had years of experience doing our own concrete work, we are experts at creating our own pads for the structures we are building.
Often a pad is only a shallow foundation that has about 4 inches of concrete. But, the size and shape of the pad depends on what the project is and on the nature of the applied load and the allowable bearing capacity of the layers below. The pad can also be deep depending on the ground conditions.
Pads are a form of spread footing in the shape of rectangular, square, or circular concrete objects that support localized single-point loads like framed structures, groups of columns of a uniform thickness, or ground beams with the shape of the pad dependent on the nature of the applied load and the bearing capacity of the layers below. The load is then spread by the pad to the bearing layer of rocks or soil below.
